ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS! Contact for complimentary consultation
Our first session is about getting to know each other, talking through what’s been feeling stuck or overwhelming, and choosing a place to begin. I’ll ask a few questions about your space, your routines, and what you’re hoping to achieve. Then we’ll roll up our sleeves and get started. Whether we’re meeting in person or virtually, I’ll guide you with clarity, care, and plenty of check-ins. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Just come as you are, and we’ll take it from there.
You’re ready! Keep reading to see how we’ll create more ease by moving from clutter and confusion to a more intuitive, accessible space.
Establish A Focus & Prepare the Workspace
We’ll start by taking a tour and talking about your routines, frustrations, and goals for the space. If we’re tackling an entire home, I’ll suggest we begin with the area that needs the most attention, while keeping a holistic overview in mind.
Whether we’re meeting in person or virtually, I’ll guide you through setting up a defined space where you can focus on making decisions—usually designating spots on the floor, bed, or countertop. We’ll gather sorting supplies (boxes, bags, ziplocks) and make sure donate, trash, and recycling receptacles are ready to go.
Sorting & Decluttering
I’ll help group things into categories to get us started—if I’m with you in person, I’ll often do this ahead of you. If we’re working virtually, I’ll describe exactly what I’d do and guide you step by step so you can take the lead. Then we’ll go through each category together to decide what to keep, donate, recycle, or let go. Typically, piles emerge of projects, errands, and "put away elsewhere."
My job is to support you in decision-making, keeping things focused and as easy as possible. We’ll talk through why or how to keep things, and discuss options for thoughtful giving and disposal.
Purposeful Placement for Everyday Ease
Everything that stays gets a home. I’ll place like items together and prioritize easy access for daily-use things, while putting less-used items in more out-of-the-way spaces. In a virtual session, I’ll guide you through this process with clarity and encouragement. Let me know about the items you love most! We’ll find ways to display or organize them in a way that reflects your personal style and story.
A Place for Keeping
As we go along, we’ll explore routines and organizing solutions—such as bins, dividers, and labels—that help you maintain the system and keep things running smoothly. If I’m with you in person, I can take measurements, source items, and even return to install anything we’re waiting on. If we’re working virtually, I’ll talk you through measuring and send personalized product links and instructions. Either way, I’ll make sure you feel confident and supported as things come together. Then, we’ll admire our hard work and get excited about the new possibilities for your space!
P.S. - Most likely we'll discover items that fall in the categories of pending projects or tasks. These items need some sort of multi-step action or ongoing attention. I'm here to break it down and support you in that follow-through, which is why I offer these additional services.
